• 1968-1972: worked in the Department for Emigration and Social Affairs of the Ministry
• 1972-75: First Secretary (Commercial) of the Italian Embassy in Bern
• 1975-77: Department for Emigration and Social Affairs of the Ministry
• 1977-79 : First secretary, Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Italian Embassy in
Pretoria
• 1980-83: Consul of the Italian Consulate General in Frankfurt
• 1983-85: Head of the Division for Bilateral Treaties of the Direction for Treaties,
international issues and legislation of the Ministry.
• 1985-1991: Counsellor, First Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires of the Italian Embassy in
Dublin.
