Scientific cooperation

On 22 May 1997, in Tallinn was signed a partnership agreement for cultural, educational, scientific and technological cooperation. On 30 May, the agreement became effective: it counts on nine scientific cooperation projects between Italian Universities and both Italian and Estonian Institutions in medical, economic, agricultural and computer field.  

The Embassy promoted several cultural events; in particular, it has launched several scientific cooperation projects between the Italian University and the University of Tartu, in ophthalmologic, surgical and genetic field. All these projects were particularly appreciated by the Estonians.
